Joey Patrick

Staff Care Coordinator

Joey grew up in central Indiana and studied at Ball State University in Muncie. Joey has always loved problem solving and has found that he works best when everyday is a new and different challenge.

He has nearly 20 years of Staff Management experience working his way up from a delivery driver in a pizza place in college to shift manager and eventually to General Manager where, among many other duties, one of his roles was to train new Franchisee's who were interested in opening their own restaurants. Eventually this led him to opening his own restaurant along side his wife, Haley, which they still own in their hometown of Martinsville!

The day to day operations of a restaurant, after a while, were less interesting to him than the relationships (and friendships) he was able to cultivate with his staff and coworkers. He loves getting to have a connection with his team and really be there for them when they need encouragement or guidance. The skills that he’s acquired from many years of managing a team have lead him into his new role as Staff Care Coordinator.

In his spare time, Joey loves to go on adventures with his wife and three sons, Sebastian, Oliver and Ezra. They regularly can be spotted around Bloomington trying out as many different breakfast places as they can, or hiking around Brown County, or maybe checking out the views from the hot air balloon at Conner Prairie.

Joey is also a collector of silly hobbies: rubik’s cubes, yo-yos, lock picking, juggling, language learning, but his favorite activity is playing music. He’s been a guitar player for over 25 years and can also play piano, drums, banjo, & mandolin among others!

Joey is hoping to learn more and more about the world of ABA and specifically Human Resources to gain more diverse knowledge of how best to help his team!
