Kristie Koch
MA of ABA, BCBA, CEO & Founder
School-Based Behavior Consultation (SBBC) Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), founder, and owner, Kristie Koch started working in human services in 2002. Over the years, she served women and infants at the WIC agency, people seeking addictions recovery, at-risk youth as a life coach, and adults and children with disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver program. After becoming familiar with the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2017, Kristie recognized its potential for practical and effective behavioral change, leading to enhanced independence and improved quality of life.
While working as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Kristie discovered her passion to support those on the spectrum in learning skills that increase opportunities for inclusion, education, and greater independence. This newfound passion led to her continuing her education in the field of ABA.
As she pursued her graduate degree in ABA at Ball State University, Kristie worked alongside ABA instructors coordinating a peer mentioning program for autistic BSU students. That experience afforded a unique opportunity to learn not only from those who shape and guide the field of ABA, but also from the adults with ASD she supported. She carries the insights gained during that time into all her work with students!
In 2019, Kristie began working in a school, providing district-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). As a BCBA, she also provides ABA services, including behavioral reduction interventions and skill building instructional programs. In May of 2020, Kristie opened SBBC, offering behavior consultation services for K-12 schools, as well as ABA therapy in center, community, schools, and home ABA therapy. Her greatest aaspiration for SBBC is to support students in developing the skills needed to "reach new heights" and have purpose-filled lives!
When Kristie is not working, she loves being with her husband, Samuel, and their four sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter! She is an active member in her church and enjoys gardening, nature, vacations, Christmas music, and gluten free baking!
