“Helping students reach new heights.” School-Based Behavior Consultation focuses on skill development & challenging behavior reduction for student success! SBBC provides ABA therapy & behavior support interventions in-school & in-home to improve social skills, academics, vocational skills, functional skills, & communication. This is accomplished through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) & in collaboration with other specialists, school staff, the students we serve, & caregivers.

Mission: We are a team of professionals and experts in Applied Behavior Analysis who partner with & equip individuals with autism spectrum disorder, caregivers, community support staff, and/or school team members to gain the skills needed to reach their full potential.
Vision: We envision individuals with autism spectrum disorder throughout East Central Indiana gaining access to more inclusive settings and having greater autonomy in life, as a result of SBBC’s service provision.
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with autism, serious emotional disabilities and other developmental disabilities in the home setting and possibly in the community setting, under the direction of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). The RBT will collect data on programs, assist with staff training, and assist with assessments as needed.
WORK DAY: Monday through Friday approximately 4 to 8 hours per day
PAY: This position can be full or part-time; full-time includes the following benefits: major medical, vision, dental, supplemental insurance, PTO, retirement, life insurance, unemployment insurance, workman’s compensation, and social security and medicare taxes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Implement treatment plan in one-on-one and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment teaching arrangements. Follow prescribed behavior skills acquisition and behavior change protocols. Assist with preparing materials as necessary.
2. Collect, record and summarize data on observable student behavior. Assist with skill acquisition and behavioral assessments. Collect data on all programming.
3. Document interventions, progress data, session notes.
4. Assist with staff training of student’s individualized treatment and behavior change protocols, through direct teaching, modeling and fidelity checks.
5. Immediately report to BCBA any student incidents/variances or complaints.
6. Attend to work and arrive in a timely manner.
7. Communicate with staff regarding student progress as instructed by the BCBA.
8. Participate in required training programs as assigned.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
● High School diploma or GED equivalent required;
● Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field preferred
● One years experience as an RBT
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
● Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification, including annual renewal and registration
● CPR and CPI certification
● Drug Screen
● Criminal background check required for hire
