William York
BCBA
William York started working in the ABA field as an RBT in 2016 while taking classes at Ivy Tech. Shortly after working with people with disabilities, he found a passion for working in the field. He continued his education by transferring to Ball State earning his bachelor’s in Psychology. While working as an RBT, he had accrued supervision hours to apply for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) exam, thus becoming a BCaBA in the fall of 2022. The Year after earning his BCaBA certificate, he earned his master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. With some more studying and supervision hours he was eligible for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Exam. William passed his exam in the fall of 2023 officially becoming a BCBA.
William’s experience while working with children diagnosed with autism has mostly been focused in a clinical setting. This has shifted more towards in-home and school-based therapy when he started working at SBBC in the fall of 2022.
When he is not working, William enjoys playing games with friends, hanging out with family, traveling, and learning new things.
